Jeez and that is for regular gas or do you use diesel?

Something is really wrong with the fuel prices. I just drove from Arlington, TX to St. Augustine, FL. Every truck stop had diesel at $3.00 or more per gallon. But, if I get off the highway to go to Walmart (Murphy Diesel), I save up to 30 cents per gallon.

I have to believe that we are being ripped off on the diesel prices by the truck stops or the government has decided to screw the truck drivers every way they can.

Sure glad I drive a Sprinter now so that I have more options.

I've noticed that as well in Indiana and Michigan, Ohio...the corner station is cheaper then the Truck stop...

And those with gas...and some idiot upstairs hasn't "officially declared" It is summer driving season yet!! Watch the price zoom upward then...

We are enjoying such a strong, robust economic turnaround. Surely, we can absorb $3.50 per gallon for fuel.

Correct..IF your FSC is properly configured and your truck is getting at or above the MPG's, it should not matter what the price is....And that has nothing to do with this booming economy...;)

I was being facetious. We are not in a booming economy. The US is so far removed from real economic growth,it staggers the mind. Yes, there is some freight moving. Burden our struggling economy with fuel priced $3.50 to $4.00 per gallon and watch real despair settle in. The greed of oil speculators never ceases to amaze. When your expediting carrier raises the FSC to reflect rising fuel prices, expect to be underbid by those who don't. We just watched this play out in 2007/2008.

Me too..;).as a shippers cost escalates, the price will help kill any boom that we've had...sorry about the vans that run on gas...but with the coming summer, comes higher prices for them historically...

bought a half tank of the new E85 at the Pilot in Crossville, which was 18 gallons at $2.19 a gallon, mileage went down about 1 mpg, dodge 318 2002 model ram van. Mix it half and half.

e85 will do your fuel system a lot of good. it will do your fuel filter a lot of bad. when the engine starts bucking change the filter. power should go down also since there is more oxygen in it.
