Fuel is the largest expense after the truck payment. It's extremely important to be aware of IFTA and how it works. If you don't know that the price of the fuel and the cost of the fuel are two different things you haven't done an adequate job of learning your career. It can easily mean keeping an extra $20 bill in your pocket every time you fill or taking it out of your pocket to hand across the counter to pay for the fuel.

Updated Map. Current as of today 6/18/17. Michigan and New York changed 5/2017, all others are the same as previous quarter.
Side note: It looks like TN may be going from $0.17 to $0.21 soon, which could make a difference in fuel planning depending on your route.

Sad to say, PA leads the way
But it can be beneficial in many cases. Remove the tax from the cash price and you can find the cheapest base cost per gallon.
