Has anyone used this product? fuel preporator,i read it will give you a couple more miles per gallon,any increase in fuel economy would be welcome.

I as well am not sure exactly to what fuel saving item you are refering to. It sounds like you might be talking about a turbo3000.
While I don't have one on my truck, they lay great claims as to their performance. I have not spoken to anyone with this device but they were at the Louisville truck show and they have a web site.

I always wonder about some of these claims that any of them make. Some of them seem like snake oil. There are specific tests by the trucking industry and none of them have passed or taken these tests. They use independent labs ect. One can achieve any result they want under these conditions. And of course if they are as good as they claim, why don't any of the engine manufacturers endorse them? Many have spent millions to reach EPA standards and buying a patent would be much cheaper if it worked.
Best bet is to use fuel additives which are proven versas a engine (fuel line) add on that is not.
When I see a engine maker endorse one, I will be the first to buy one.

I have friends that have tried both of the systems with mixed results. One says no difference in mileage, but the truck runs smoother with more power and the other says that he gained 1 mpg only. He was getting 4.5 to 5.1 mpg so this was a big deal! Buying quality fuel and avoiding the dealers that only sell a couple of thousand gallons a month has always been my secret. Clean fuel and cleaner fuel and air filters has always worked for me.

Thanks for your response,speaking of air filters i use K&N not to help performance but it's cheaper that and less of a hassel then replacing them every 2-3 months,anyway there is alot of soot build up after about 60,000 miles i know the build up is good per K&N however i don't know if they consider the fact that it's a turbo diesel [7.3] anyway was wondering what you thought.I have one in my car (gas engine) and haven't cleaned or changed it for 40,000 miles it has the bugs and leaves and dirt but not the heavy soot.

The best way to improve fuel mileage is to stop idling your truck.
Now there are a number of devices for van, straigt truck and Tractors, that allow you to shut off the truck engine and stay comfortable by using a Espar heater or DC Airco for the "cool side"
