Looks like someone is confused about that whole "action ---> reaction" thing ...

The concept of "blowback" doesn't only apply to foreign meddling and CIA-agitated coups and subversion of the democratic process in the name of "freedom" ...

Some are also a bit confused on the "government", as it is actually "we, the people" who have changed our attitudes. Politicians understand that rejecting the will of the people is not how to get reelected, because we expect them to at least look as if they represent us.
And an awful lot of 'us' are gay. And women, too.
