Hi guys,
Can anyone send me a picture or tell me where on earth the low pressure line is on one of these trucks please??
I can see two line under the AC Housing, one thin and one thicker.
Any help much appreciated.
Which engine?
Depending on the metering device, the lines will be routed like this:
High side: compressor to condenser to reciever/dryer to expansion valve.
A huge pressure drop across the expansion valve signals the start of the low side, with refrigerant immediately entering the evaporator, then back to the compressor.
The other common system goes like this:
High side: Compressor, condenser, orifice tube. Low side: evaporator, accumulator, back to compressor.
The big fat lines are almost always low pressure lines, and the thin ones are high pressure.
If you're looking for the service valves, well, they can be anywhere in the system.
