Leo, your above statement, with just a little tweaking, could have been written by a liberal: Leave it to the conseratives to push the limits of capital punishment while at the same time decrying abortion as abhorrent.

Liberal or conservative, I just can't understand how either group thinks they can have it both ways! Maybe an adjective like "extremist" or "whacko" should precede liberal and conservative.

It isn't having it both ways. It's innocence and guilt. Abortion is abhorrent and capital punishment is just. The innocent don't deserve it and the guilty earn it.

Well, the innocence is obvious as all unborn and newborn babies are innocent. The guilt is obvious as well when DNA proves there is a one in more billions than the total population of the earth chance it wasn't the suspect. That pretty much is a slam dunk with those odds so it's obvious too.
