Awesome! I'll buy a 2015; I won't buy brand-new technology until some other schmuck gets the problems ironed out for me :)

I heard ours will be rear wheel drive. There is no bump in the rear axle of the van in the photo on the site.

I suspect that one is FWD.

sorry.. read up on them a bit more. Overseas they are FWD, RWD or AWD depending on how you order it.

Very cool.. and tempting.

Come on old chev.. you can make a few more years... (that would be my current van)

"schmuck", have nothing to do with it.
"schmuck" is a one that set you up to fail.
beside, the wording "some other schmuck", imply that you are also a "schmuck"
the right word to be used sounds like "Frayer", which roughly translated into something like 'sucker', a guy that did not know what he got himself into.

and that's complete today lesson in "yedish",
thanks for tuning in.

I've never had a concern with buying the first model year of a vehicle. Many times they're over engineered and any problems seem to be taken care of with extra warranty or goodwill on the part of the manufacture. YMMV.

There's also the fact that it isn't a new model so much as it's a new for us model isn't it? Isn't most of it what they've sold elsewhere for years? That 3.2 sounds like a good option.

Yes!!!! This van in diesel is what I want. Really want to go American and this European style van should be perfect with Ford support on the road. Hopefully cargo capacity will be solid.

A van that size you might squeeze 18 mpg out of it....if I didn't have a diesel Espar I'd go gas...tired of these egomaniac diesel mcnutnicks...

I have my schmuck-y moments, and yes I've been a "frayer" a time or two I guess :)
As long as I don't become a putz I should be ok... :)

I don't think we are all so naive to think even the Transit/other vehicles are all American. Parts come from all over , but I would prefer to keep as much money going to US based factories. It may not always be my what I select to do, but if technologies is reasonably close I will chose American. Some of that money will hopefully come back to me.
