Greg's recent post (Hot) on Ford jobs moving south of the border got me to thinking of the days I was stationed in Germany and how many Euro Fords occupied the autobahn...Seems they are a hot commodity in Aussie land too.

Anyone miss the old Stangs? A few look like the GTO from the rear.

Well Ford In OZ seems to be really a strong. Ford Europe is doing well but the US market it is going down fast.

I was driving around this weekend and ran into someone I used to work with who is contracted with Ford (sweet deal for her - $75/hour in their competitive information gathering department) and she pointed out that many people have complained that Ford products have no unique features anymore. she mentioned the Cadillac/Fusion likeness and something that I always been bothered by, copying Mercedes rear end - can you tell the difference looking at both of them fro the rear without badges?

By the way I like the Falcon and the GT.

I had a Euro-Ford. A 1973 Mercury Capri with a nice little V-6 and 5 speed tranny. Minnesota salt turned the body to swiss cheese. Finally one of the mounting blocks for the struts rotted away. I sold it to a guy who wanted to put the V-6 in a Willeys.

Falcon? Did Ford resurrect the Falcon or are you just reminiscing? I like the looks of the new Mustang.

I liked the Falcon too(notice all the old brand names) and yes I have noted alot of euro as well as japanese fusion here of late the Hyundai looking like the Accord comes to mind. I have to give Ford credit on the retro Mustangs the new Rousch is one sweet looking ride and I always wanted a Shelby. Moot I purchased a bright pinto orange Granada rustbucket in Germany for $150 on the economy it didn't look anything like the ones stateside (kinda cool as I remember it). The Falcon and Fairlane are current models on the links above.
