Ah ... look it isn't just him ... it isn't just Fox News show hosts ... but a lot of people who are sponsored by goldline and other companies pushing the idea that gold is the only way to go.
The one thing I keep hearing is FDR took gold off the market because everyone was hording it, but that is no where near the truth - people could barely afford food, getting gold coins to hold was way way down on the list, next to buying that Lasalle or Lincoln for the kid's graduation.
Pretty funny when you think about it.
I mean a lot of people just don't get that gold is worthless when it comes to trading for food and clothing if the country collapses.

Gold is pretty. It does have a few REAL uses besides watches and earrings but not all that many. I would think that a good supply of shotgun and .22 ammunition would do me better for providing food for my wife and myself than a bunch of soft shinny metal would. Add to that several boxes of fish hooks, line and sinkers. I can did my own worms.
