I was at the Flying J in Lebanon Indiana this weekend....plenty of parking up front....no cars no RV's...Why? NO RESTAURANT.
I arrived at the Flying J Evansdale Iowa....20 chairs in the tv lounge. No restaurant....why not take the tv room and enlarge it where the restaurant used to be,and put in a theatre like Petro? No we dont wanna do that for the drivers...Do mind a lil bit of fly dung in your coffee creamer? Thats what is around the creamer dispenser at the J in Evansdale Iowa. Do they care? No! Oh we cant do anything about flies,its summertime they said...

I would assume...Dennys did not want them locations?

there is such a thing as fly control....it'll never be perfect but they could at least try...

We have heard at different locations the franchise operator could not afford the restaurant. Been to at least three j's where we heard that story. Interesting that the rv'ers who have kitchens would want a sit down restaurant. Usually they fuel, park and shower.

No restaurant., might just be the best food the J has ever had. Sounds like a good thing to me.

in 4 yrs out here i can count on 1 hand the number of times i have ate in ANY TS resturant and yea id need 2 hands to count the times i bought coffee...but that was at late night and it didn't matter what was in it..lol...

how with all of the TS's around, wouldn't it be easier to go another place...

Coming from the big truck side of the industry, I'm still trying to break the go to the T/S habit. Starting to get away from T/S's more and more.

Now trying to find different places with free WiFi and sit there and spend my money a little at a time.

I am at the Walmart in Melrose Park and Sam's is next door WITH free wifi and it is a strong signal!
Makes the day go faster!!
