Flying J/Pilot gives us the finger

As of Friday they no longer allow us to earn points for fuel! Per a lengthy conversation with customer service, we were never supposed to be given the points, and this was something done by the managers of the stores.
The customer service manager I spoke with is trying to put together data to start an expediter based program. I refered him to this site and suggested he take a look to see how large of a comunity we really are. He actually made referance to us not actually being Professional Drivers!
I quickly corrected his statement!
So please take a minute to call customer service to voice your opinion!
Thanks and stay safe!!

Ever since the merger and the new Frequent Fueler Advantage program went into effect, like March of last year, points are only awarded with diesel fuel and DEF purchases, not for gasoline purchases. Expediters get a ½ shower credit for 14-49 gallons of fuel, diesel or gas, but no points unless it's diesel or DEF. Program details here: http://www.frequentfueleradvantage.com/benefits.aspx

Same is true for the TA where no points are awarded for gasoline, but gallons still accrue for shower credits.

Prior to, during the transition, and since the merger, I've talked with a few people at PFJ's customer service and at corporate, and they are basically clueless and out in left field when it comes to expediters, especially those in vans. They have no idea how to deal with us. The Flying J folks did, but apparently those in charge at Pilot would rather die than take advice from anyone at the former Flying J.

As for vanners not being professional drivers, for the most part, that's true, as most van driver are (A) morons and (B) don't even have a CDL. (uh, oh! :D )

I always have points on PFJ card...(gas van)..I NEVER use them. The only money I spend at a TS / TravelCanter is for gas and I use Load 1's credit card for that...other then that, I don't spend a dime at them unless I have to ( I bought a 12 volt powercord last night because i smashed the one i had) yea ill BUY a cup of coffee on a late night while driving, but i don't use the points...Other then that, I do not eat in them, or buy candy..well i take that back, i will get the pizza deal from time to time..but again, I pay for that...So...oh well...

As for Expediters not being "Professional"....will I can only for myself...I try and pickup and deliver my freight in a "Professional" manner and any other time I am dealing with "people"...but the fact is, I am a "Professional Vacationer"...that happens to also be an expediter that pays for it all....:)

I don't care as long as I get my shower credits.... Pfj is still the easiest way for gas vans to get free showers....

Apparently, you don't understand the concept of "free money". LOL

I can't rack up a lot of points in a van, but I currently have enough points at PFJ for two, count 'em, two free $5 footlongs at Subway. That's free money for free food.

Thats probably way i will never be rich..but yea thats a good deal if you eat at Subway...but i haven't ate at a Subway in probably yrs.....

As of my last fillup, i have 291 points on my card...I never ask for them to be added if they aren't if the manager adds them,ok if not, no big deal.. Oh anyone that wants those points, I am at the "J" in KC...figure out how, and you can have them...

Now..Shower Credits..Thats another story...don't mess with those...I have 8 on the card right now...and thats about the avg number that are there continually...and i use 3 minimum a week...

Your points are worth $2.91 at the register. Free money.

Two slices of pizza for $5, less $2.91, is two slices of pizza for $2.09 plus tax on the $2.09.

Wrong again turtle neck, We both have CDL's class A and class C with Hazmat. Have driven over a million miles without accidents. And we don't have to log or scale, only morons do that. Truck drivers just think they are professionals, until you see one stuck under a bridge that was too short or on their side on a corner where they were going too fast, or when they run someone off the road cuz they don't check their mirrors. We all do what we do cuz we are too lazy to get real jobs. We get a great insight into truck drivers by watching shipping wars. lol. Now, do I have everyone mad ? If not, the day is young.

I solved that problem with my two C/Van drivers. I give them a credit card with a 3% cash back. That 3% is put towards showers. They bring me a receipt I pay them back and thats where the money comes from. Driver has no hassles and keeps them happy and I might ad clean.

I might ad, they have CDL's and they are professionals.

I DON'T have a CDL, and MOST of the CV/SPRINTER drivers I know DON'T have one either...I can't speak for them, but for me as a "PROFESSIONAL VACATION EXPEDITER" I don't need a CDL...:)

LOL, Turtle, you are bring "things" fro other threads to this thread!! :) But dang it, I am going to go use my "points" towards the purchase of a case of bottled water here at the "J" in KC..:)

There are exceptions on all sides, but I stand by my statement, most van drivers do not have a CDL, and most of 'em are morons. The moron crack is, of course, an exaggeration. But juuuuust barely.
