Ok everyone. I have been looking at all these load boards for a week looking to load my truck. PROBLEM IS, it's a converted box/straight truck to 22ft flatbed. Ford L8000 Cummings powered 7spd. Do you know how hard it is to find a load for this? I have no hair left on my head!! I'm told "Yes we can run you as a hotshot" then NO LOADS!!!
Anyone have any ideas? Brokers?

Thanks
Curt

Oil field work ..??? or maybe have a "curtain" side system installed and hook up with "speciality freight haulers..and you could even say you are a closed box with a curtain system and get conventional freight..

Importunately, I don't have any oil fields around me. The curtain is a great idea, but the curse of starting a new business hit me, low low $$$$. Thanks for the idea. Hmmmmm...:D

A few questions;

Do you have your own authority?

If not are you going to get one?

Yes I do have an Authority, problem is, due to a screw up in insurance paperwork, I am fighting to get it taken care of. We known how much of a P IN the A@@ Michigan is. :(

To everyone who has replied,

THANK YOU! You guys on this forum are the best!! I am not the most technical guy, and I have been trucking on and off since 2002. Thanks to some of you for tossing out some places to look for work, I am currently looking into those areas. :D

You have lots of options, I would look around this site and the two other trucking sites out there to find what load boards you can get on. There are a couple others running 25" flat beds and doing well but not in Michigan.

Thanks, I'll start diggin.. I'm glad to know there are other flatbeds running. Michigan is a tough state to work for sure.:eek:
