I don't think so.

I think those guys are Hot Shots.

I don't know of an expedite companies that will lease them on but I ran that type of freight for a couple years under my own authority. and in my opinion its better to book 2 or 3 small full loads than 1 expedite. most of my work came from landstar, ch robinson, and echo global logistics never used uship stayed very busy with them 3 but my 06 ford f-350 with a 6.0 just would not hold up well. in les than one year I spent enough in repairs that could have paid cash for a new one and I never hauled more than 12000 pounds on my 32' trailer. tarping freight can take alot of time and energy but its very easy to do well over 200k gross per year with 3pls that pay in 2 days. however if was to do it again would use a single axle tractor with a sleeper and a air ride trailer. there is good money to earn but its not always the cleanest work. stay away fro the rvs that you pull to much deadhead after you drop off.

Acme down Texas way will probably answer all your questions.
Log books over 10,000 lbs.
CDL over 26,000 lbs OR once the trl reaches a certain size, which I am not aware of that size since I've always kept my CDL.
