Yes, it is enforced. At least it was when Diane and I were driving. We once spent a night at a FL Turnpike service plaza and ended up paying big bucks at the toll booth when leaving the Turnpike. The system tracks the time you spent on the Turnpike, not just the miles driven.
Last time I was there if you stayed over a certain amount of time they enforced it by charging you the maximum fare.
The time from entry to exit tripped it.
Last time I was on it I had intended on staying the night and got a load offer after being there for a couple hours. No extra fees if that happens. #hopeforthebest
I avoid it altogether. Not sure if that's possible in a ST.
Turnpikes are like traps to me, don't like being funneled, anywhere. Not paid the OH 90 pike, since they hit me with the height thing.....19 bucks from Cleveland to Detroit.
