FL80 CLUTCH ADJ

Does anyone know how to adj the clutch freeplay on a FL80 with a 6 speed. At 50-75 bucks a pop,this is getting expensive !!

I could try to explain it with type, but it's a lot better with illustrations. The procedure is not difficult, but it does differ a bit between clutches, and requires an assistant. Head to your dealer and pick up a business class service manual (Less than the $75 you are paying someone to adjust the clutch) for a good illustrated outline. You will learn a lot of other nifty things from the manual too. Plus get the all important "Fuse and relay chart" that you will definitely need one day.

E-Bay is sometimes a good source for cheap service manuals for trucks and engines. I got about $80 worth of stuff for my Detroit engine for $30.
