FL70 dash rash or creeping crud

I have seen a lot of FL70s with peeling paint on the dash. Mine is no exception. Any way it's getting kind of depressing looking at my peeling dash. Has anyone found a paint that will stick to that slippery undercoat they use?

They have a 3M prep that is used for dashboards, and then use dupont dashboard refinishing paint. It will be color coded to freightliner.
Can only be sprayed through a small aerosol body shop spayer (10.00) or through a compressor with a standard paint gun.
Having it totally clean is the key to a decent job.
Any specific auto body parts supply will have the correct stuff. Forget discount stores like Autozone ect. They don't carry the right items for this. Dealer will have items or can get them, but they usually will upcharge you 15 percent to do it unless you have a good relationship with them.

I drove a FL for an owner once and the dash looked horrible. The paint was peeling and flaked off..My son and I spent only about 2 hours total fixing it. All we did was remove front panels, then had better access to the top. I used regular automotive brake cleaner in the spray can available at any auto part store, then sprayed the rag and wiped it on the dash. It of course makes the paint peel off, Slowly but surely worked my way to the other side wiping and peeling with fingers.I did not even remove the top panel..too many screws.Under the yucky grey paint is a nice black. After all stripping was done, I put some cheap cleaner and protectant on it..my son was so proud it still looks great without using any paint....

GOOD LUCK !!!

Another super easy way is a pint can of Rustoleum Smoke Grey gloss enamel and a small foam paint brush. It's still there, still glossy.
Use a real small (model) brush when going around the cup holders and what-not.

I agree about the Rust-O-Leum. If you are careful and use a foam brush you can do some very nice looking work with it, including touching up or painting your whole front bumper.
