FL requiring tag on front

Just a heads up. Hubby and I were warned 3 times in Florida to put our tag on the front of our straight truck. We were told they will be handing out tickets for this violation very soon.

I live in Florida and have Illinois Base plate and was stopped for not having plate on rear of truck in Florida...makes you wonder what they want, doesn't it? I told the State Trooper that my registered state requires the plate on the front of the vehicle! He was not impressed and let me go! My recommendation would be to do what your registered state requires and be prepared to show state officials why you placed your tag in the front or on the back of your truck.

When I received my plates from FL in January, they sent me two of them, so I just went ahead and put one on each end of the truck. That means I can't put any custom slogans on the front bumper, but that's okay. I don't really need a Confederate Battle Flag up there anyway....

Regarding the "no custom slogans" remark... why not? I see Semi-tractor trailer rigs all the time with 3 or 4 plates on their big chrome bumpers all the time. I don't understand why an expediter can't do the same. Just go to a Chrome shop and get a plate holder for 2 or 3 plates and drill and bolt to the front.
