The interesting thing about the article is that it appears the author generally believes that the talking heads (presenters) that appear on the Boob Tube necessarily write their own copy and are fully informed about whatever matter they are speaking about. Nothing could be further from the truth.

They're designed and intended to put a pretty or handsome face on whatever "info" someone wants to feed to the audience.

When they speed read or skim in order to make it appear they're not reading it, mistakes happen - to everyone, every day. But she didn't say Michelle Obama "has the power to sign", she said Michelle Obama "signed". A vastly different thing, and a simple enough mistake - unless you're desperate for something to find fault with.
If so, it's the newsreader's fault, lol.

Ok, if that's your story. If anchors don't want obvious mistakes like that to happen, they should look over it better. It was a short read. Even a speed read should have caught it. Maybe they would be taken more seriously if they stopped just reading the TelePrompTer and catched obvious mistakes like that.

Maybe you'd be taken more seriously if you started proofreading and "catched" mistakes before posting - just sayin....
