First hunt

Got my first duck hunt of the season in today. Hunting out by the "Banana Dike" in a light SE wind. Lake Erie was very friendly today. Nice light chop.

Not many birds down yet. What birds did come in worked the decoys PERFECTLY. I got two shots, two dead bluebills. Can't get any better than perfect.

Glad ya got out yesterday,,Dont have to much fun or get to comfy @ home there is more freight to haul..

I hear the winds got really bad today,,I hope ya didnt try to go out on the water..

We did not hunt on the Lake Erie. We did go goose hunting be none came in. We went out on the Lake today. 25MPH winds. Nice chop on the water. We had 3 kids out with us. I had the great privilege to spend an hour in the layout boat with a 12 year old girl. It was fun. She did get one duck. She missed a lot, it was far more fun watching her miss than had I shot 6. Nothing like helping teach the next generation all about hunting and life.

We got 25 yesterday. 25-35MPH SW winds. Light chop. Birds flew spotty. The are zillion out on the Lake be they are staying out there.

It is now Sat. morning. We are preparing to take out 4 kids for a layout hunt on the Lake. 15-25MPH out of the SW are predicted. Hope the birds fly better today. Got to keep those kids interested.
