Felony history

I'm watching a show of police videos. It's time to significantly reduce our crime problems by getting EXTREME with the criminals. The third felony conviction should be automatic death penalty. Possession of any weapon during the commission of a felony should be the death penalty. Any officer with a dashcam recording who has to chase a suspect for more than 2 minutes should be authorized to shoot to kill if necessary to stop the chase. Criminals should have about 10% of the rights of decent citizens, not 110% as it is now. It's time to tell the liberals and the criminals that we will not tolerate any more.

I'm talking about violent felonies and the last I knew oral sex wasn't a violent felony and although a "gun" may be part of the process a weapon isn't. The point of this is to show that nobody will find themselves in the capital punishment position unless they deliberately put themselves there.

I gotta agree with LDB. The crime situation is getting out of control, and the government is spending too much time fooling around with things that aren't important to the US.

The Ohio state legislation passed a law a few weeks ago that does not allow customers to come into physical contact with strippers.

Mind you, the schools are a mess, the roads in Ohio are a mess, the last governor in Ohio was convicted of crimes while he was in office, but hey, at least the strippers are somewhat safe in the club, because, you know, what strippers thought they may come into contact with a customer when they got into that business???

The point I'm trying to make is that the country needs a revamping. This nonsense where criminals can run from the law and endanger other people is BS, where some dirtbag gets 12 DUI (Yes, 12) and THEN on lucky 13 kills 3 kids and destroys the like of a fourth is also BS.

Criminals do not get rights, they forfeit their rights when they commit crimes.

Just heard on XM that last wednesday a female teacher was convicted of having sex with a student...3 days in jail, 180 hrs community service and 5 years probation.

Last wednesday a male teacher was sentenced for having sex with a student...29 years in prison.

In which case above was justice truly served?

You know this will never change until we go back to looking at criminals as what some of they are, scum.

I mean simply at one time when you committed a crime, you were justifiably an outcast in society. You had to watch yourself and what you did or else you ended back in jail. Then as society 'progressed' we went from punishment to rehiblitation and this has forced us to accept crime as the norm and we must feel sorry for the criminal because of a number of things; he didn't get the matchbox car, his father yelled at him, he flunk math, etc...

The system we have today is the problem we have so many criminals running around here, it is too soft. I think that we need to serious look at true punishnment for people who commit serious crimes and go back to a pro-society position on all crime and look at a crime form the victims point of view.

If you think I am off base with this, look around and see what the victims get out of being involved in a crime, our government does not provide them any means to be part of the system to punish the criminal and further more there is no automatic restitution for the victim but the criminal has many ways to take advanage of the crime they committed, education is one of them. Also we as a society should have not built justice system that ignores the victim, they should have been a priority, not the care and feeding of a criminal. But again crime is a political tool and even with the latest where our great president screwed he enrone investors, there needs to be real reform in both tort and criminal areas of our system.

Also speaking of DUI's, I do not care what the excuse is for someone drinking and driving, there is none. Honestly I am very tired of the 'I was young and stupid' excuse, it should be if you get caught, you lose your license for life and the vechicle is forfeited, no second chances. Get caught again, go to jail. As harsh as this sounds, a vehicle is the same as a gun, it can be used for good or evil and there is no second chances when you kill someone.

In Minneapolis a Lyberian immigrant is convicted of murdering the mother of his infant child. The world famous Center For Torture Victims, based in Minneapolis, is taking up his cause. Their argument is that being born and raised in Lyberia, a country torn by civil war and violence, he is predisposed to violent actions. Thus making him the victim and not responsible for his actions. No mention of the rights of the original victim.

I find some irony in the fact that most of the supporters of the Center For Torture Victims are for relaxed immigration laws. And if immigrants from countries with a history of violence are themselves predisposed to violent actions why the f#@* are they allowed into this country!
