So I really need to switch the company I work for. I drive a straight truck. Ive talked with recruiters but i prefer to hear from the people behind the wheel. I need someone who will work for me or atleast with me unlike my current company. I'd like to hear from solo's but I will have a team member next year. So team input is more than appreciated. But if any solo Straight trucks have anything to enlighten me on fedex's operation's that would be much usefull. So info about avg pay high pay and low pay? I dont have a lift gat or reefer. How the dispatchers attitudes are they willing to help you? What the avg miles a week? Any other info is welcome.

Hey Classb,

I an a solo D unit with Fedex and not really sure what kind of answer you are looking for so I can only speak for myself. My weeks can vary from bad to very good. As so the revenue, there are so many varibles, the revenue numbers given by fedex can be reached. You have to understand the system and the freight zones. I have a good CC so when I have a problem or question I get an answer. I do find that I do better if I keep the truck out longer and I like for my CC to know that I going to be out for an extened time so if I need help with repositiong it's not a problem for me to relocate anywhere, just as long as I can get loaded, get miles, get a good per mile rate and still maintain my hours to always be avalible. And of course a team will always do better.

Please keep going thru the site and you should find more answer's from other drivers here.

Stay Safe
