I had success using a heat gun and peeling a sign off of my truck. You have to be carefull with the heat gun as it can make things REALLY HOT. I do not know if a hair dryer would work as well. Good Luck. Larry

You can simply half-$%%ly paint over them like what has been done to 99% of the late model used expedite trucks I go to look at. Just about all FedEx shadows. Or remove them the right way, albeight time consuming, with the heat gun. You'll take up about 1 or 2 inches at a time, and then have to remove the adhesive with mineral spirits, but it will leave no remains in the end after a good shot at the Streakin' Beacon. There is no "Magic Juice" to get the damned things off.
Maybe George has a new product for that.. ooops, I saw he didn't have box signs when I passed the FedEx Star with my beater on I-90 out of Albany today. Maybe the signs won't fit on that mini-box or he knows he might jump ship soon too.

Tell him, Geo it's not the size that counts. Weave may be lacking sleep from that trip to Albany, or is it that he wants a box just like your?

your going to want to use a Hair dryer to take them off. thats what i've seen them use at a sign shop.a heat gun such as the ones to remove paint will get to hot and could cause damage. you just need to heat it up enough to loosen up the adhesive and it is a time consuming job. like mentioned earlier an inch or two at a time. you might also call a couple sign shops and see if they would do it for you and for how much.

Good Luck,

To give a better idea of HOW time consuming it is, it took me approx. 20 hours to remove my FedEx decals. Two sweaty days I'll always cherish in my memory- It was a labor of love getting away from that Mickey Mouse outfit.

Almost forgot.. My decal removal project got to be quite the joke around the neighborhood- there is STILL (circa spring 2000) a picture on my refrigerator a fellow took of me on the extension ladder nursing my sunburn.
