Just got my latest CD for the "Road Report".

I hope I got it right (I will replay to be sure). Soon relief is going to start for those ever increasing tolls. If the driver followes the recommended route customer will be charged for tolls on that run.

In addition there will be a general rate increase,and increased minimums.

THIS IS HUGE....(just got back from the east where the tolls just kill)

Well now, that IS interesting news. Our CD is waiting at home in the pile of mail. Please share what you learn.

There is a clear trend in the country toward increased tolls and more routes that charge tolls. The trucking idustry has mostly succeeded in passing increased fuel costs on to the customer with fuel surcharges. As tolls increase, it seemes to me that the trucking industry will find a way to pass toll costs on too; especially with technology as it is today that can ID a truck's location, route, and relate that to known toll charges.

My first question would be is this toll system going to be across the board or just a few small customers. Some of the big shippers are still only paying 8cpm fsc because they are big enough to refuse increases. In theory this sounds great. I just wonder how close theory and actuality will be.

I thought that the news on tolls had allready gotten out to everyone. Yes, the president announced to everyone at 4 star that all tolls will be paid on authorized routes in the near future.

Yeah, A team you lucked out going permanent 3 axle now yer tolls will be picked up. What I used to like about my tag was being able to avoid some increased tolls in the past
