More and more of us are using "smartphones" so I thought it would be fun to share our favorite apps. List your favorite apps here and if you would, please tell us which phone you're using. Here's just a few of mine running on a DroidX, I gave my Droid1 to my daughter and upgraded to this X.

Geodelic Good for finding "stuff" around you.

Norton Mobil Security

ISyncr Syncs you iphone music library with your phone.

Dropbox Moves file from computer to phone.

ShopSavvy Barcode Scanner One of the barcode scanners that I use.

Have to say it is a battery hog keep your phone plugged in.

The phone as a whole is a battery hog...LOL...I bought the extended battery a couple weeks ago, that gives me some more time.

Just sent it to my daughter to download and try to live stream me her boyfriend at the drags....he races bikes.

10-4 on the battery hog! I'm considering the big battery. Is it worth it?

I think it's worth it, I can't tell you exactly how much more time I'm getting out of it as I've never let it run completely down and compared it to the stock battery. Some people think it will work better for you if you do so there's the flip side opinion. Over all I think I'm getting at least a few more hours out of it, probably more. I carry the stock battery with me and if I thought I was going to need to switch them out that much, I'd get an outside charger.

I used this tonight at walmart to lookup a Garman GPS Walmart price was 199.00 Amazon was 168.00 with free shipping
Awesome app and I use it often

I have never paid for an app, I use the free ones
Motorola Droid version 1.0 LOL

That's pretty cool and worth it's weight in gold! I will sometimes pay for an app if it's cheap, mostly depends on how often I use it and how irritated I get with the advertisements on the bottom of the screen that some of the free ones have.

I wouldn't call it my favorite, but I like my Dock Nothingness app. When I set my phone into the droid x dock it automatically breaks my bluetooth headset connection and switches the phone to speaker phone, I want to keep my headset connection. Dock Nothingness allows the phone to ignore the dock and stay completely in phone mode when docked.

I've had time to play with Tasker. For me it is well worth the $6 price tag. It takes getting used to, but the Tasker website does help with instructions and a forum. Being able to make custom tasks eliminates the need for many extra apps, like the Dock Nothingness that I mentioned in the previous post.

Here are some tasks that I've managed to put together this weekend:

A short cut button on my phone's home screen that opens a file that I use regularly. Without tasker it is easy to set up shortcuts, and widgets to applications and folders, but not files. Tasker gives me easy direct access to specific files too.

The mobile hotspot for my computer's internet connection cuts the bluetooth connection to my headset. I wanted to have bluetooth automatically turn on after turning off the hotspot connection. I made a task that automatically turns on bluetooth when the phone rings.

I don't care for blaring ringtones, so I like to keep ringtones at a low volume, but I don't want to miss calls from the company. With tasker I built a profile that boosts the ringtone when Bolt Express calls. The call from the company also automatically opens a load planning spreadsheet.

Sounds like you're off to a really cool start with this app....keep us posted on what you're doing with it, I might just decide to open the wallet for this one! :D

1. NFL Mobile App....pretty self explanatory.
2. The Weather Channel App....is great for when you are traveling since it will automatically update to your current location. You can also add favorites, etc.
3. MyLite. Turns my phone into a flashlight, strobe light, and a few other cool features that you can mess around on.
4. Facebook...if you don't know about this app I can't help you. LOL
This one you have to pay for, but it's a good one.
5. Netflix-You can watch things like TV series such as Stargate Atlantis, Family Guy, etc. Netflix does cost 8.00 per month, but it's prob one of the most used apps on my phone and it's more than paid for itself.
:)

VLC Media Player. It'll play pretty much any media file without having to convert it. Oh, and it's free.
I also love the Netflix app, Sirius radio app (even though they don't stream Stern, so Shoutcast Radio takes care of that).
