[FONT="]Fatigued driving violations are among the most serious categories because of the potential for serious accident or injury to persons or property. Hours of Service violations, i.e. 11hr rule, 14hr rule and 34 hr restart rule pose a penalty of 7 severity weight points EACH. If an out of service order is issued, an additional 2 points can be expected. Additional penalties could include a fine, an expensive tow off the highway and loss of load to another truck.[/FONT]

[FONT="]Failure to properly and accurately complete log book entries will earn 2 severity weight points. The Electronic On Board Recorders being installed on all FedEx Custom Critical power units will minimize HOS violations but not eliminate them unless all drivers comply with the regulations found in § 395.[/FONT]
