Farewell Newt

I can't believe I used to like this guy. Over the past several years, it became really uncomfortable watching Newt buddy up to the likes of Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi. More and more, Newt seemed too concerned with pleasing liberals in an attempt to rehabilitate his public image. Those of us who remember Newt from 15 to 20 years ago would hardly recognize the absurd comments coming from him lately. Now, Gingrich has gone off the deep end: calling Congressman Paul Ryan's budget reform initiatives "right-wing social engineering."

It's over for Newt. His presidential bid lasted about one week. Oh, he will struggle on for a little while. But, it's over before it even really began. Better to rid the conservative movement of these charlatans right now.

One of the few times I listen to Rush, and he mentioned Newt was finding his "niche" in the healthcare debate. Sounds like middle of the road pandering to me. I used to like Newt as well. But when he started buddying up to the illegal immigration crowd, he lost me. Oh well. The conservatives used to need a guy like him... formerly conservative. Now he's just another RINO.

What is certain is the indisputable fact Newt Gingrich is a political genius of the first magnitude. He really has no peers. Newt is to political science what Stephen Hawking is to physics. Truly, a one of a kind wonder.

While I'd love to see Newt and barry in a real political debate on the constitution and the isses of today (newt would eat him up) he shouldn't have ever thrown his hat into this ring...his poltical life is over and some of his comments as of late makes one think he is on drugs!!

Nope, THE candidate is going to announce he is running in either late June or early July. This guy will scare the pants off of Barry. (not a site I really wish to see) He is everything that Barry is not. Experienced. Straight talking. Highly respected and HONEST.

the sum total of who a person is, is more important than a new countenance. God tells us to forgive not forget. guess newt never heard that.

Whoops is right. The new Newt belongs in Goofy Land. Wasn't expecting the guy to go 180 degrees out of phase. Maybe the Stockholm Syndrome at work with Newt still trying to appease his tormentors.

Still searching for a 2012 right-wing dragonslayer. Mitt Romney is a nice man and therein is his problem. A nice GOP nominee in 2012 will finish in a very respectable 2nd place. To unseat an incumbent president will require a very aggressive campaign style. Someone not afraid to throw the equivalent of a Bob Gibson brushback pitch, repeatedly. Who can defeat Obama in 2012? Not every contender is in the race just yet.
