Well as everyone knows,on the 10th of september I had cataract surgery on my left eye.The week before my operation the big E on the eye chart was blurry. The day after the operation, when they took the patch off,my vision in that eye was 20/40,just amazing, and believe me,the actual operation wasnt nothing to be scared of,as I was.On my Dr appointment one week later, that eye checked out at 20/20 uncorrected.Well today is the day, they are doing my right eye at 1320 this afternoon, have Dr appointment tomorrow, and was told I can go back to work next week. Two weeks ago I was just plain scared, today I'm excited, just knowing tomorrow I wont need glasses except just to read.Of course these dark sun glasses, but what I'm told, the biggest cause of the cataracts is the sun light,so all you matcho guys that say you dont need good sun glasses,be ready for your eyes to do what mine did.And when they tell you, you have cataracts, the operation is painless, you dont even know its happening, and yes your wide awake. They give you an I V with something to calm you down, but as far as your eye, they just put in a couple eye drops, your laying on the bed, they put a paper sheet over your face, and all you hear is the sheet, moving. You dont even know they are working on your eye. Will tell you how everything is tommorow, cause with a patch on the right eye,I wont be able to use my reading glasses to read out of my left eye til' tomorrow
