Eye Care

My husband and I saw our eye doctors today for checkups. I have a very early stage cataract but nothing needs to be done at this time. However, it was a good reminder from the doctor that anytime we are driving in the sun (you remember the sun, right? That big bright thing we sometimes see) we should always wear sunglasses to protect our eyes. I spent much of my childhood in Florida and California. I had a lot of sun exposure and my eyes are paying the price right now. If you don't have a good pair of sunglasses, why not put it on your list of things to purchase for the summer driving months ahead. Take care of those eyes!!

I was raised in Arizona and I still have a very hard time wearing sunglasses. I am glad we have the visor on the truck sure helps with the sun glare.

Glad you appointments turned out so well.

Not just in the summer gals... that winter sun on the snow can be blinding.

Don't forget to remember that you are wearing them as the sun it setting otherwise you'll be wondering why it is getting dark so early. :D

I think it tests for glaucoma, the puff of air to measure pressure, but can't remember for sure. All I know is that's the one part of my carcass that's in good shape. I always score a 16 on it which is as good as you can get and usually scored by college age folks. I'm half blind without my glasses but the inner occular pressure is perfect.
