I see Express-1 is advertising for straight and semi reefer trucks, saying, "Progress in Motion! Experienced Temp Control Straight Trucks and Semi's Needed Immediately."

What's up with that?

This is not meant to be a smart A$$ reply....but, it is Progress in Motion. Or

"Getting it Done"

We have a need for them.

We have noticed quite a few on the road since the first of the year. All but one were red KWs. I now wonder if E1s presence has anything to do with FedEx cutting the detention pay? It seems that when a new carrier starts up or an existing one takes on a similar service the driving strategy is price reduction...not their trucks so this is the easiest way to compete. And now I see a much greater presence of DHL. Is the micro economic cycle repeating in greater frequencies?

Gee Phil...I posted somewhere last year before I left them that Sept 2010 was a start up of the reefer division...now you notice...they are growing forward....oh wait wrong carrier slogan...*L*

does Pfizer and express 1 strike a bell?

It should..has been discussed here....but no one was concerned as long as it was not temp controlled...but now...next target BM...then we'll see...

the next logical step is TVal...in the expansion plan.

I'm guessing the deal would be to get their share of a lucrative market. The Fed will certainly feel the pain, not that they will take more than their share but the pie is about to be sliced thinner.

It would be pure speculation at this point...what we common folks are unaware of, is there might be a growing need for this service..

E-1 trucks should be allowed to haul pharmaceuticals. It looks like some of their drivers swallowed too many pain pills and used red lipstick to paint the town "truck" red with E's that have devils tails on them!
