RE: expexted fuel mileage on this powerstroke van

I had a '92 and a '96, each with an add-on roof and four sheet of plywood walls, floors, bunk. I got a little better than 18mph loaded, empty and idle included. I sold each of them at about 450,000 miles and as far as know, they are still running.

RE: expexted fuel mileage on this powerstroke van

I'm sitting in one now. It's a 96 but it's a 1 ton extended with a 2 foot hightop, it stands 9.5 feet tall and weighes in at 6600 empty. Before I got the superchip programer it got 18-19 MPG average, now I average 21-23. I paid 3000 for mine with 250K on it. Turned 300K last week, motor is still in great health uses 2 quarts of oil between changes (15K between changes.. holds 4.5 gallons). Wave cash under his noise. I think he is high on his price. For a little more you could own a new van with a small V8 gas engine and a warranty.

I think the powerstroke has a 100K warranty on it.
