Expediting secret 48

First realize that there are no secrets. I`ve been trucking for many years, and I`ve seen and heard every secret, argument, scheme, strategy, game plan, dodge, contrivance, plot, and wheeze that came down the pike, and everybody subscribes to one or more. What works for one, may not work for another, thus there are no secrets. Each person goes in his own direction, does their own thing, and offers his opinion. Opinions are like anuses. Everybody has one. To be successful, it`s not who you listen to, or what you listen to, it`s WHAT YOU DO with what you hear. Success will come if you work, are available to work, manage your money well, and make good decisions. Changing companies is a right, and I`ve personally seen people do better and also do worse by switching horses. If you don`t like where you are, get out and go where you want. You will always hear
people gripe, squawk, bellyache, whine, quetch, complain, whimper, snivel, moan, cry, bellow, yowl, bawl, sob or sound off about something. If you can`t separate the wheat from the chafe in whatever you`re hearing, and where ever you hear it, you`re already in trouble, because you think there REALLY IS a secret. So, put the pedal to the metal, rack up those miles, and sweat when it`s necessary, and you`ll be fine. If something happens that is derailing your game plan, it`s most likely caused by YOU somewhere in the middle of the equation. And remember, there is no free lunch, but there is a pot of gold.

I think that is the beauty of EO. One can see everything from rumor mill stories, plain bs, to plain verifiable facts or just opinions.
They can then determine the source and apply it to their own wants and needs.
Some do well deciphering the difference, and some only believe what they want. That is how some wind up on the bad side of things and then wonder what happened.

If there is a secret to expediting then I found that the only 1 secret is being in the right place at the right time. This business is a crap shoot. You can make all the best informed decisions you want, go on experience or flip a coin. If freight is coming out of an area you get a load if it isn't you won't. Some areas can be hot as hell then before you know it their cold. I really get a little tired of these self appointed experts making this seem like your running a fortune 500 company when basically all you need to do is 2 things, decide where to go and wait for a load and decide if you want the load offer. This business is really simple you put freight on a truck you get freight off a truck. It's not rocket science and there is no magic formula. There is alot of luck involved though if your just leased on to a company. Your lucky if you went to the right area, your lucky if your the first or only one there, your lucky if no first outs come in, in front of you. But if your not old and smart enough to know who and what to listen to and what to believe or you need to always be led by the hand or have to do what someone else is doing because you don't know how to make a decision then you don't belong in this or any other business for yourself.

I agree as well. You can minimize some things but the rest to some extent is a daily lottery if leased to a carrier in which one is dependant on them for loads.
