I AM LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ABOUT LANDSTAR EXPRESS AMERICA ON HOW WELL THE SINGLE DRIVER TRUCKS DO. I HAVE HAD A FRIEND GO TO WORK THERE AND THEY HAD PROBLEMS WITH PAY BUT THAT WAS WITH A DIFFERENT PART OF THE COMPANY. ALSO HAS ANYONE HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THE BIG LAWSUIT AGAINST LANDSTAR??????

I have heard nothing but good things about Express America. I know I have talked to a couple of their fleeet owners and it is very different from what we do at Panther....not bad just different. As far as the lawsuit, check ooida web pages they continually update their progress. Lawsuit will not affect the EA team tho.

I think the lawsuit was initiated by ooida, wanting landstar to release how much they make when they sale or lease materials to the drivers, but it doesn't matter to me, if I don't like the price go elsewhere.

Singles do pretty good, its more the lifestyle you'll like with LEAM. We take the loads we want , refuse everything else. Take time off when we want and where we want.

We don't deal with central dispatch, nor young kids that have no idea what they are doing. We don't get asked to deadhead to the middle of nowhere and wait for days to get a load.
