Expediters Hall of Fame

I posted this a few years back about having an Expediters Hall of Fame. I just would love to hear peoples thoughts on this. I think it would be a nice thing to start and have at the Expo each year. I would love to start this going with a few people like Linda and Bob Caffee, Leo, Lawrence, Dale, and a few others to maybe help on this. To get into the Expediters Hall of Fame, I feel the person has to have been in Expediting for maybe 10 to 20 years just for starts and so on. Let me know what you folks think.

i don't get it.
dispatch sends you a load you take the load and wait on the next one to come. with electronic logs, its not like we can use our full potential anymore. so we just graze along killing time waiting on the next one.
im not trying to be mean here, but how do you become famous, when you never see anyone you work with? i dont discuss many of my killer deals with rookies, save one or two of them just to give a rookie some hope when they sit complain about not getting any miles. and frankly, i have started meeting some pricks in expo trucks. i ran into one after deadheading 15 miles to swap with him, and he tried to refuse to give me the trailer. wtf
hall of longevity ok, but fame, i don't get it.

By setting those minimum standards you already excluded sixty (60) percent of the group you just nominated.

It would be a tuff call for whom you'd open the gate for. On your short list there is only one that did anything out of the ordinary, cept follow the herd.

you have to go back to the beginning when there was inovations almost everyday with building trucks and such, but after that we just follow the leader in the last 10 years there hasn't been much. and I'm all ready in the hall offame in my mind.

I don't know Dave, sorry. I thought we were past this like the expediters history book.

I only see three names I would ever consider, two on the list and one who posted.

The problem is many of the people who actually have done something to claim any real hall of fame status may not even know EO exists.

Maybe an EO forum hall of fame?

I'm not sure who should or should not be in the HOF, but I would like to propose a city and architect for the building.

Location : Florence,KY.

Architect : I.M. Pei (he did a great job on the rock & roll HOF.)

Jim those people are folks I would like their input on the Expediters Hall of Fame. I wasn't nominating them. Sorry about that.
