Apples & oranges, lol: you're talking about the workshop/seminars, which are held periodically throughout the year, in different locations. And yes, you absolutely should go - it's designed to provide information to newbies and wannabes from the pros.
The Expo is held once a year, in Wilmington, Ohio, at the end of July. It's for everyone, and is also an event to attend if you possibly can.
As Cheri has mentioned the workshop in Knoxville compared to the Expo in July is comparing apples to oranges.
When making a life changing decision the more you can learn the better off you will be. Knowledge is power and to make that kind of decision you need everything you can working for you.
The Expo will give you a chance to meet many expediters who are on the road now, talk with recruiters from companies, look at equipment and get a feel for the industry.
The Workshops give you a small glimpse into the expedite and is a great first step into making this decision. You will be able to meet with recruiters and meet a few expediters. The Workshop is for a couple hours while the Expo is two days.
I bet you saw tons of snow Moot as the pictures around the house are amazing. I hope to get through there this month on our way to the Workshop or after the workshop to take care of taxes.
Lots of snow but the roads were fine. Highway J was ice covered from Palmyra to Perry. I have never been in that specific area. Up and down U.S. 61 a lot. Mark Twain Lake looks like a nice place to hang out in the summer and dip a paddle.
Well since we are not home much I have only seen that lake one time and that was taking friends to the Mark Twain caves. We usually hang out near Silex as we always have tons of stuff to get done. Between us and our neighbors we have lots of toys to keep us entertained. It is a great area and the best part is Bob has a shop at our house and can play with the truck as much as he wants!
