Thanks to everyone who contributes to this site, I know it takes alot of time and
effort to keep something like this up and running.

I live in west central Indiana about an hour west of Indianapolis, what do you experienced expediters think about this area for freight in general, and getting home
once in awhile?

I think everyone would agree - Indiana is one of the best states to live in for expedited freight, in fact I would say it is #3 behind Ohio and Michigan.

Thats good to hear!

I've been reading the posts and archives for about a year now and have been
seriously considering expediting.

I worked in the electronic pre-printing press industry for over 20 years and my
company finally closed July 2004. I hated to see it go under but I cant complain to much
I had a pretty good run with it, and I was ready to do something else anyway. For the last
year I've been freelancing for some of my old customers but its getting to be less and less
all the time.

I'm not in dire straights, but I need to get into something else pretty soon. My father
was an O/O with 4 and 5 tractor trailers on the road in the 70's so I know something of
being gone for weeks at a time and the pitfalls of truck ownership.

I'm going to get my cdl b w/airbrakes,hazmat within the next month so I'll be
looking for an O/O to team with until I can get a handle on the way things work in the
world of expedited freight.

Do you think there will be O/O's at the expo that I can talk to about getting some
experience?
