I gave you the answer. The top 10 percent of wage earners. It isn't the rest of anything.
According to you, the "rest of us" would include that 47 percent (often referenced in politics) as job creators. There is absolutely nothing that would indicate that.

Why bring up the 47 percent? Whatever jobs are created in that group (and the number might surprise you) would of course be included with the rest of the 90% or the 99% or whatever we're talking about.

Taking a step back. It seems like you agree that the 99% create more jobs than the other 1% but you consider it an unfair cutoff point. Is that about right? I'm not sure I'm willing to argue that 90% creates more than the remaining 10%. I think it might be close.

You may be right. Most of what I read uses numbers ranging from the top 10 percent to the top 5 percent. Media hangs it hat on the one percent but from what I have read it is a little more than that but not much.
Either way with regards to taxes, I would focus on getting rid of the waste verses who you think should or shouldn't pay more. You kind of skip over that.

But how does it make sense for any of us to put the needs of the richest 1% before our own?

I'm not putting their needs above my own, they don't need the money that is taken from them as they have plenty more. I am saying that as American citizens we all have a responsibility to be responsible for ourselves and to contribute to society.
