Hi everybody, I hope the reason for lack of posts lately is because everyone is out there running your you know whats off and making lots of $$$$$$$$$$. Or maybe your home time is being spent catching up on your honey-do list before old man winter catches up with us. We're going back out tomorrow and I just wanted to say HEY to all of you and let you know we miss your posts and hope you'll slow down long enough to just say hi!!

Just above my license plate on the vans I have the EO bumper sticker. For those of you that have never seen the bumper sticker it is an American flag in the background with the slogan – line1 “EXPEDITERS” line2 “WE GO TO KEEP YOU GOING”
and Line3 “www.expeditersonline.com” in big white letters. An EO member invented this slogan in a contest EO had, and won the money!!! In the daylight it can be read from about 5 van lengths away and at night because of the light from my plate someone can read it from about 4.5 or 5 vans lengths away. By the way! If anyone would like a bumper sticker send Lawrence an email with you snail mail address at [email protected] and ask him to send you one. The "BUYER'S GUIDE" is also available.

I know 90% of you that just read the above statement are wondering what that has to do with DDx2’s post? WELL HERE IT IS!!!!

I run a CB Radio and have it on about 85% of the time when I’m running. I jibber jabber all the time to everyone that will talk. I get ask on an average of at lest 5 times a trip what is that Expediters Online bumper sticker about? Is that the name of your Company? I repeat the concept of EO so often; my wife tells me I say it in my sleep! I need Jeff or Dave Nemo to make me a recording so I can auto-play it like the DOT plays their construction warnings.

Has there ever been a survey done and if so what are the numbers of Expediters that own computers on or off the road (in their trucks, or at their home). Jeff would be the man for this one!!! There are a lot of expediters that don’t know that EO even exists. There are the expediters that do know about it, and after they used the info they learned at EO, and became drivers for a company forget all about EO. Then there are those of us that will log onto EO 24/7! We are the ones that use EO, (not just the forum), as a tool in our businesses. The forum is a virtual coffee shop. The forum chat room is a place for drivers to go and shoot the breeze, while on a lay over or at home on a break. Like DDx2 said the posts are down and most of us regular posters are kind-of wondering why? One member said he thought it was because of all the bashing of some of the companies. Would anyone else care to fill us in on why you (if it applies) haven’t been posting? Maybe someone has an idea that may get others to start posting? If you don’t want to post it in the forum, maybe you can send Rich, Mark, Lawrence or myself an email.

I’m going to set up a poll for those that may want to reply anonymously. There will be 6 multiple choices to pick from. The more input we get the easier it will be to get the posts rolling again.

RE: A Picture

Hey! I remember that bumper sticker! Now, if I could just remember who that great guy was who thought of that slogan and won the contest!

:7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7

(Little pat on own back there!)

Actually, I STILL think that sticker came out great, and have it on every vehicle I own... and yes, I get questions about it too, and have even had Expediters who saw the sticker yell at me on the CB for directions!

What a great pick up on the posts!! We too are asked a lot of questions out here on the road about how to get into expeditng and such, we always write down the web site for people. Am wondering if you have anything smaller than the bumper stickers we could have to give out , business cards or maybe pamphlets? If not, would it be terribly expensive to have something printed up? Just a thought... DD

I have an EO bumper sticker for anyone who stops to chat with me at a truckstop or elsewhere. I am All-State truck #D188, a Freightliner Columbia 24 footer. New pix to follow.
There are no questions that are stupid or silly, and we try to answer them all the best we can, our own time provided. I enjoy it and hope I haven't been too negative or egocentric the past three years;-)
There has only been one case in my time with EO where I became upset over a newbie who was asking EO questions, then coming back with posts attempting to point out to us how things should be done and all the errors in our ways, which was not going to fly with me from these people with no experience. Best wishes to them anyway:)
So, if you have questions, ASK! If not, read! If you want to know another secret, posting to EO on a regular basis will dramatically improve your grammer, or is that grammar?

I have the EO bumper sticker on the back of my Pete also. Don't recall ever being asked about it. Also have the TCB emblem with lightning bolt on there(you know, Elvis' logo)and i do get asked about it sometimes. If any of you seem me on the road be sure and give me a shout on the cb....its usually on ch. 19.

Oh yes, Elvis' "Taking Care of Business", that's a nice one for this industry too.
