OVM,
Oh I see, sacrifice, that’s what you think. You got to look at the bigger picture, not just oe cause and effect subject.
Look it is simple, we live in a country that is the cleanest industrialize nation in the world, our air quality has not been better in the last century as it is now and the problems we face with our economy are directly related to the supply of oil products to industry and the consumer in that order.
I don’t ever want to see going back to the 1960’s of air quality, but for some reason the summary of the Kyoto which points to the need to stick with a 1990 standard confirms my idea that that point in time is a good start.
I mean that if we roll back our restrictions of sulfur and gasoline to 1990 standards we will not have the rampant pollution that you and others predict. The Clean Air Act of 1990 (CAA1990) and the following regulations to enact the CAA1990 put us in a bad situation where we can’t even build a refinery and what some would like to see as multi-source/multi-product refineries can’t even be considered until we put the country first.
Oh when I talk about multi-source/multi-product refineries, I mean one that can be used for Oil refining and coal gasification. I read somewhere that WV was using a refinery for just that purpose.
