I am enjoying a GREAT Motel Room right now thanks to the company at Check Inn Card tru OOIDA.

Now what is my real savings?

Room retails for $69.95 plus all taxes.

Includes, Pool Sauna Work Out Room Fax's N/C TV for Monday night football, heat Not running the Pro-Heat and its cold up here WI breakfast, bathtub so I can soak up to neck in and not dry off by the fan at the Pilot, laundry and an iron and board internet hook up.

My costs, $33.00 plus tax at the discounted rate plus .95 cents (this will increase for me in January to $4.95 everytime I use the services.

So since I would have pay for a shower or purchase the expensive WI fuel, pay for breakfast, not watch Monday night football since I do not have a dish, how much do you think I could deduct from the $33.00? Fuel to run the Pro-Heat little less than a half a gallon an hour( I know some of us want to believe these APUs only run on fumes but reality is closer to a third of a gallon an hour or little more)

I figure this room is gona cost me close to $17.00 plus tax so $20.00 whats your figures?

Sounds like you got a good deal. Hopefully the discount plan you have offers some of the better mid to upper range hotel chains. Many of the "Discount" plans for drivers we've seen thus far only offer the low end chains which we refuse to stay at. We will definately have to checkout Ooida's plan. Definately could use a break since we like to get out of the truck each weekend and into a jaccuzi room!;)

It's less than that, Broom. It's tax deductable!

Your ss and medicare tax, Fed tax, state tax come to about 30% if you're in the lowest bracket. So it would be even more in the higher brackets.

That brings your $20 room cost down to no more than $14!

I suppose this works for you, and that is great.

But we would rather be staying in our sleeper where all of our stuff and creature comforts are.

The only time we will go to a hotel is if we are a distance from home-base and the truck will be in the shop for a couple of days.

Thank's for the heads up,
We met a couple in Greene Oh that swear by it and gave us the info, hell it's handy if you do vacations only.
As for us sometimes we just gotta get out of the truck dress up and enjoy a dinner at Carabbas, Johnny Corinos etc.

Use this # to get more info 888 545 9391. Yep its great to get out of the truck once in a while. Creature comforts in a 72x84 day in and day out just gets well.... but X two people for a cost out of pocket of only 14 after Daves encouragement..... Wow one must really love that small box to not spend $14 once every two weeks.

Well streakin if you must be upity. I'm at a full blown Holiday Inn at Tewksbury, MA for 37.50. You don't need to be an OOIDA member just call Corporate Lodging Consultants. I prefer Holiday Inn stayed in one in Burbank, CA bout a month ago.

Oh, I'm not being uppity.:D Just fortunate that my wife showed me there is something better than staying at "Flea Bag Motel" that my prior trucking company used to treat its drivers to.Used to find some SCARY things shining my blacklight on the bedsheets and pillows!!!x(
