Think the Cards might have more than they can handle this week-end. Philly is on a roll. Not that I like the Eagles....I don't. I'd love to see the cardinals in the super bowl, their one of the few franchises left that haven't been to the dance!
btw, "Big Red" is Nebraska, not the Cardinals.

Super Bowl is going to be a Cards/Steelers match up.

Really want the Cards in just so the lions will have one less team to compete for the title of last team in a super bowl.

Also loved the Curt Warner story when he was with St. Louis then they wrote him off as did everyone else, well look who might be going back to the big dance.

[edit] St. Louis years (1960-1987)

Coincidentally, St. Louis already had a baseball team called the "Cardinals". The established National League team eventually decided against pressing a formal objection to another sports team in the city using the same name. Sports fans and local news broadcasters called the team "The St. Louis Football Cardinals" or "The Big Red" to distinguish the two teams.

Thanks Jack, learn something new everyday.

Flattop40, your right, Warner did get a raw deal in St. Louis. When he was injured and they put that little sissy quarterback Bolger in, Warner lost his job. There was alot of friction between Warner and Marse, think that's how it's spelled. Anyway, everyone knows that Kurt Warner firmly stands by his religious convictions, as well he should! Him and Marse had a blow-out one day and Marse made the comment that Warner should study his playbook as much as he does his Bible!!! The writing was on the wall right then and there. I think if I had been Warner I would have walked out right then and there.
If kids today are looking for a "role model' these days, they don't have to look any further than Kurt Warner.....

Yes, who predicted it???? Yes, yours truly!!!!!!

Both were great games.

So we come to the age old arguement which is better?

To have a great Defense and a good Offense? OR

To have a great Offense and a good Defense?

Should be a good game. Let me look into my crystal ball.......
Cards 24 Steelers 21

Fitzgearld gets MVP

This will come down to (like most games) turnovers and pressure on the quarterback. Warner can hit the hot read and big Ben can do just enough to avoid the rush.

Either way I will watch for the commercials ;)
