E-track straps with a shorter lead line, like 1 or 2 feet vs 4 feet.

Someone a few years back told me where I could get straps for my E-track that had a shorter lead on them. They said I could get some custom ordered the way I wanted. Now (being that I am OLD) I can't remember where they said to get new straps. Anyone got some info for me. It is time to trade a couple of straps in.

You can also get that done at a shoe repair shop. I used to spend $3 getting ends sewn back on when the ends cut thru the strap. Saved a ton over a few years.
Just cut the end off an old strap and try it. Cheap fix.

The E Track straps at Harbor Freight have the ratchet close to one end. They work perfect in a cargo van. And no custom costs required.

Not sure. But the little Korean woman that did mine stitched them about 2-3 times as much as the original stitching and with a blended cord that was heavier. We found it to be very strong and NEVER failed us. Ever.

"You get what you pay for" being often accurate, I can highly recommend Lodi Metals. They made custom straps for me with the ratchet six inches from the latch. They have a half dozen colors to choose from so you can have a different color to identify each length strap. The webbing is very high quality and weight compared to the truckstop straps. You won't wear them out. I wouldn't go out again without only custom short lead Lodi Metals straps.

Lodi medals has straps in stock that have 2 latches 1 at 3-4 inch and 1 at 48 inches. They call them electronics straps. Think I paid 12 or 13 each.

Thats one of my main concerns. Any changes, repairs, or alterations are not allowed as far as I can tell.
