E Track Length Available

I need to get some E track and it seems online and locally they only have it up to 10" lengths yet I'm pretty sure I've seen it (installed) in full lengths - ie: 24" van has a single 24 span for each row, my truck has F track with a full length single span. I know this is mostly for shipping purposes but would most body builders have or have access to full length peices or is that usnual?

Also what are the screws called they use to install tracking/plywood and where can I find them?

Try to find a semi trailer repair facility, I bought some localy ( Louisville ) at an APEX trailer repair facility. I just used metal screws with a recessed hex head that I got at home depot to attach.

Great idea - there's a shop up the road with some damaged trailers that might have some.

Ya, I can get the 10' ones no problem at a body builder nearby but I would prefer to have a single (horizontal) run front to back.

Why?? The day that a fork-lift driver accidentally catches the e-track and tears it up a little, wouldn't it be easier to replace a 10' length than the whole thing?

Bombay what do you mean by "full lengths"? Longer than 10 feet?

I have two 10 foot lengths on the floor and one 10 foot length on each wall of my van. Actually the passenger side E-track isn't a full 10 feet because of the door.

I used stainless steel bolts, nuts and lock washers. The bolts run through the plywood and through the metal floor. Near the rear is a sheet metal pan that prevented me from using bolts. There I used self tapping (Tec) screws.

Here are two pictures of both vertical and horizontal E-Track. I have both types mounted to the floor of my van.

The vertical E-Track is typically found in furniture vans and other applications where multi-level decking is required. I use a short length across the rear floor for extra attachment points.

Yeah, I don't think there is anything longer than 10 foot. Too hard to ship. You can butt them against each other when you install them for a "seamless" appearance. There are also end caps you can get so the edges aren't exposed. I seem to always cut myself or tear my shirt at the oddest times and places, so any sharp metal that is covered is a good thing.

I was able to find some at a Utility trailer dealer, they have them in 10' or 52' lengths and the parts guy said they don't mind cutting them down for you if its only into a couple pieces which will work fine - the 52' will give me three 14' sections and one 10' for the front wall, price works out to $2.88/foot.
