i see an e-mail address for me in my profile that is differant then my e-mail address. How does this affect me ?

Actually, it is very important. If someone tries to email you or Private Message you through our system - you won't receive the email.

Is it not your email address or just an old one?

You can change this by being logged in - Click on the "USER MENU", then click on EDIT ACCOUNT INFORMATION.
