can happen when too much time to pick up time.....the shipper wants someone locked in while still shopping for cheaper....if they get someone cheaper say 100 bucks they pay 50 for the cancel fee and still save 50$.....Most won't even pay a dry run fee IF they cancel 2 hours before pick up....Its happened at E-1 and Load 1...it is NOT carrier specific...
I had to laugh when I saw the title... For some reason that one hit me funny even though we call them the same thing.
We have a lot less problems now then we used to with Dry Runs. It also seems like we will go through a spell of having these and then go months without another one.
As we gained experience we know that some customers are more prone to canceling freight and when we get a load in that city we take that into consideration.

Was in a bad area to start with but im tryong to learn out of it.

We have experienced a 'DRY RUN TSUNAMI' with 4 loads dispatched and 4 loads canceled...all in a row! Two paid and Two didn't...
