Drug Tests During RoadCheck 2007

I have heard some reports that a few truckers have been required to give a urine sample looking for drug and/or alcohol use during the roadside inspections that went on during RoadCheck that ended Thursday. Did anyone here have this happen to them and were you told it was voluntary or mandatory? Thanks.

Evan hi I don't drive anymore because of a couple medical reasons and some other things,But In the past when I was driving yes I had heard of that and It Is from what I heard mandatory. I don't know how they pick who they pick or why???

They were focusing on a class 1 inspection which is every thing included from Driver, Truck and Trailer so yes I could see them asking for a urine sample. We were lucky and did't get pulled around back. We would have passed with no problem just a pain in the butt.
