Is it ok to leave bol's in the black mailbox out back or do OO's have to put them directly in their file?
As much as I'm at "the yard", most times it's late at night or early morning.

Sure. I've been there a couple of times at night and on the weekends, so I've used the mailbox. Just put them in an envelope to keep them together.

hmmm maybe need some clarification on the black box. I was told by someone in dispatch not to put it in there because it does not get checked and to give it directly to dispatch in an envelope and they will pass it along

I'd say we do need some clarification, then. In orientation (2 months ago for me) they told us that since no one would be in payroll on the weekends, and that they pretty much scatter at 5 PM during the week, that the black mailbox was to be used, and they gave us envelopes specifically for that purpose (only two, tho). Said we could also mail them in, but of course Load 1 wasn't going to reimburse postage. I've dropped mine in the black box once on a Sunday afternoon, and twice after hours during the week. All three times the paperwork has made it to my folder. I can tell which ones I put in from the ones they put in, because the ones I put in are still folded over, theirs are opened up flat.

Rarely do I ever use the mail boxes. If I can not put them in my folder myself during business hours I put them in the basket located on the counter in dispatch. If your not sure what basket to use the current dispatcher on duty will point it out. They have a basket on the expedite and truckload side.

I would turn it in, up in dispatch but I will verify with the powers to be. I think the mailbox up front is ok for this as well, but I will check.

Actually Becky does my paycheck as well, lol. Never upset the powers to be!!! LOL.

After talking to Becky and Mike Johnson we are actually going to get rid of the mailbox. That is kind of a hold over from the days when we were not open 24/7. Since we are always open it makes the best sense not to turn in to admin and file or after hours to turn in too dispatch.

Yes we do need them. We still have customers that will request an originals from time to time or we get a scan that the quality is not good enough.

Scott, I will pass along your request and see where it goes, lol.
