Hey,

I was just taking a look at an offer from our very own Teacel AKA Tony and thought this deserved a little bit more exposure from yours truly. No kidding, and I'm not being biased just because it's Tony;)
If I didn't have my D unit to deal with now, I would be into a van and on a job like this in a heartbeat!

Mark,

I agree totally.

This is a cake walk, you know your going to be home every night, you know what your schedule is, you can do your job in a cargo van - in this business it doesn't get any better.

Just my humble opinion.....

I'm not sure if you read my previous post regarding the Sprinters up for auction on Ebay, but you may want to check that out, The last time I looked they were around $22,000, which from what I can tell from previous post I've seen here is less than 1/2 of what they are listing for, and most are new, and the one used Sprinter that was listed only had 6,000 miles on it. It might be worth looking into if your not dead set against having a Sprinter.

A word of caution on buying a used van from eBay. I have personally beed involved in the purchase of two vehicles from that site and both were nightmares.

Ok, so they were in a couple accidents in their lifetime - and oh, yeah submereged in a lake - but only for two hours.

Buyer Beware!

I agree Buyer Beware!,however several of the Sprinters listed are NEW and listed by dealers. If they are franchised dealers, and they are selling the vehicles as new, then they also must provide warrantys for them. I don't see where you could go wrong if purchased cheap enough, and with a full warranty.

you can also find good deals on ebay as well. I've bought 3 semi trailers off ebay. All for far less than book value and 2 out of the 3 were perfect. The other one wasn't as tall as I wanted, but it still does the job.

http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_3_29.gif Setting up these types of dedicated routes do take time. You know how it works! I submit the offer to T/M and he calls for a meeting. Gets back to me wanting more info, and so on and on. I do hope to kick this off by June first.

Hope this puts things in perspective for you LM??? http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_17_3.gif http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_1_78.gif http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_17_1.gif

Wow Tony look what me looking and drooling over that route has done. I just can't help myself visiting every 33 minutes ;)

Numero_Uno: Yes I looked at the Sprinters on ePay. The dealer is only about 90 minutes drive from here for me to go look in person.

Just as a data point I can buy a Sprinter with cargo package #1, high top & middle length wheelbase for $34K at my local Freightliner store.
