The following is a transcript from an actual QualComm conversation between a van driver and dispatch. The names have been changed because that’s how it is done on television. Dispatcher conversation will be in uppercase type, van driver conversation in lowercase type. Just like the real thing.

All most all LTL carriers assign a pro number to every shipment. In many cases this is the only way to track or identify freight. When dealing with a LTL carrier ALWAYS ASK FOR A PRO NUMBER. Drivers, dispatchers customer reps… ASK FOR A PRO NUMBER!

Same goes for airfreight. All airfreight shipments are assigned an AIR WAY BILL (AWB)number with the exception of charter air shipments. Drivers, dispatchers customer reps…ASK FOR AN AWB NUMBER!

ALWAYS, ALWAYS ALWAYS ASK FOR PRO# OR AWB#

Thats all good and well.

Just do what the company does record every call to them or from them.

That way when some one lies U got it. Then when the time is right play it back to the right people.

This business is a cut throat. So it seems.

U got to look out for number one.

Weather your dealing with Air, land, or Sea.

Bottom line is cover your rear.

It's conversations like this that make me wonder if I've woke up from a nap in the Twilight Zone... Or maybe the Time Tunnel Web Cruncher that IceHeadTrucker is in (Hiding my Snickers, just in case!)
Maybe I'm on that Hwy loop thing..... in SC?!

Some times you just have to wonder what they read between the time they send a message and the time they send the next one.
