DOT#s on our trucks

What are all of the #s on the side of the box for
DOT who needs this info
FWC
ETC...

Just curious when someone asks for it I would like to understand it better. I realize what DOT #s are but who exactly needs it the other #s are kinda foggy.

The VIN (vehicle identification number) and the ICC/MC (interstate commerce commission)and a fuel permit number. The fuel permit number is for those states that ask if you have one. Most of the states take the information from your company or private fuel card.
