I guess it works...

This is a generation that is scared of commitment, wants to be light on their feet and needs to adjust to whatever happens,” said Zukin, who’s researched the effects of the recession on recent college graduates. “What once was seen as a solid investment, like a house or a car, is now seen as a ball and chain with a lot of risk to it.”

WTH would they want to commit to this madness? Good for them.

I am not making any big purchases right now either. It is far too uncertain out there today. It is going to take a long time to return to sanity, if it ever does. The debt and deficit are staggering.

The economy is so bad that:
If the bank returns your check marked "Insufficient Funds," you call them and ask if they meant you or them....:p

The more you own, the more you have to paint, polish, hammer, scrape, plant, insure, pay taxes on, trim, mow, cut, roof it, plumbing repair, stop termites, buy furniture for, or

You could buy a Sprinter with a nice setup and avoid all the house hassle and if you want to rent a room every now and then you can. No yard, no roof leaks, no taxes,no termites,no furniture, no yard to cut, hey,,,homeownership aint great now is it.
No relatives to drop in and drive u nuts. Everyday is a new stop, new sites, and many places to eat that the standard homeowner does not get to do. No mortage for 30 years, now there you go and since home prices are down 20 pct and not selling that well, well , why not RENT. PS, you can make a living in a Sprinter.

No one is ever gonna believe the above statement, are you?

How about the price for termite repair, or flood damage repair, or well, the price of home insurance over the course of a year...

Thanks, took the words right out of my mouth. I think I'm going to sell my house and live down by the river in my c/van. That sounds familiar doesn't it???
